Staff grows ingredients in their 2-acre kitchen garden, and Highland cows roam the 58-acre estate. E-bikes and mountain bikes available but surprisingly not complimentary. The Torridon takes Scottish sourcing seriously – ingredients come from their own Highland farm (complete with Highland cows and Tamworth pigs) and 2-acre kitchen garden. The AA 3-Rosette 1887 restaurant serves seasonal gourmet menus and seven-course tastings in Victorian splendor. More casual Bo & Muc brasserie offers family-friendly fare in a relaxed setting. The real star is the oak-paneled whisky bar housing 365 different single malts plus 120 gins, including their own Arcturus gin made from foraged Highland botanicals. Whisky tastings available with in-house experts. 1887 requires advance reservations and welcomes non-guests, so book early.
